WABP June Membership Meeting, Thursday, June 20, 2019 – “Shifting Sands” – The future of health care risk financing

Please join the Wichita Area Benefit Professionals on Thursday, June 20, 2019 at Abode Venue as we present Daniel Meylan, National Sales Director for Allied National.  Daniel will provide insight into the various forms of health risk financing models and the actual source of those funds, and examining the various segments of the health care market including, group, individual, Medicare, Medicaid and the uninsured population and how each of those market segments is financed. He will bring an actuarial and medical underwriting perspective to this presentation, including the financial and behavioral factors driving the escalating cost of financing health care and how those factors are projected to impact the industry.  Dan will look at both the short term (12-24 months) and long term (5-10 years) implications to our members, their clients, and our nation.

Professional Credentials
Dan serves as the National Sales Director for Allied National, a Kansas City based health insurance program manager and third-party claims administrator, that specializes in small group level-funded health plans. Dan is an active business consultant, published author, speaker, private pilot, skier, fisherman and grandfather of six. Dan and Kathy have been married for 45 years and reside in Stilwell, Kansas, just south of Kansas City.
